Abstract This research seeks to investigate the extent to which dancehall music has influenced the rate of flow behavioural pattern of form three students at Couva western United States and Sangre Grande inessential take aims. Dancehall music has become one of the most fashionable tuneful genres throughout Trinidad and Tobago. Its popularity forces its involvement in most school events. just it has been argued that this genre of music has affected our young hatful negatively with its pulsating rhythms and catchy lyrics. At present students are forming gangs, steal from former(a) students, showing a lack of respect to teachers and each other, creating self-aggrandizing movies on cell phones and altering their school uniforms to suit the act upon trend among other things. These behavioral trends therefore have had a massive negative impact on the student’s academic performance. The aim of this study is to provide strategic plans for parents, educators an d other interested individuals, so that they can help curb this demoralise situation.
